2 days Guided Implantology Interactive workshop- The scan -plan - execute concept

Guidance and free software planning worth Rs.10000/- for the first guided case from scan , plan till execution. Participants will have to get a laptop with a scroll mouse for the hands-on session. We will be installing a free Planner version of the IMPLANT SMART Planner software on each participants laptop. Day-1 program Course Content: The last few years have seen an explosion of technological advances in the areas of CT and Cone Beam (CBCT) imaging, interactive treatment planning software, CAD CAM applications, minimally invasive flapless oral implant surgery with guided surgical procedures and CT-derived templates. . CT imaging can help clinicians improve all aspects of implant reconstruction, including Course Outline: “SCAN---PLAN----EXECUTE” The hands-on program will start with a lecture by Dr. Anand Krishnamurthy on the scanning protocols and the need of the entire treatment plan to be prosthetically driven right from the start. The lecture will cover the paradigm shift in Implant dentistry from being surgically driven to presently being prosthetically driven. The topics covered in the lecture will be as follows:- • “The Scan –Plan- Execute-Concept” • “The Reverse Engineering Concept” • To go Guided or Conventional??? • To go surgically or prosthetically Driven?? • Diagnosis & Treatment Planning • Conventional 2D Analysis • The advantages of CT-Scan based treatment planning.. • The CT scan Based Computer Guided Implant planning and Execution.. • Using Implant smart software • CT Scanning Protocol- Dual Scan Technique • 3D Implant Positioning • Stereolithographic surgical template • Various Clinical cases • Prosthetic Options & versatility • CAD-CAM Milled Titanium Frame-work for hybrid Prosthesis Day-2 program interactive hands-on on laptop for using the software followed by dummy implant placement in a dummy mandible using a surgical guide with anchor pins to simulate the real life guided surgery. Interactive Hands-on session:- After the lecture we will initiate the participant’s hands-on session with many Laptops loaded with the trial version of the IMPLANT SMART software. Each Participant will be given a CT scan data of a case to be planned for Guided surgery on the software. The training faculty will then guide the participants step-by step right from the detection of the anatomical landmarks, bone density analysis, importing of the reference model, 3D-positioning of the implants, and the anchor pins, etc.Then finally each participant will generate a final project file which can be used to generate the surgical guide for the planned case. After the software training, batches of participants will be given a simulated model of a edentulous mandible along with a stereolithio graphic surgical guide fabricated for guided flapless implant placements using drilling protocol. Each participant will execute a osteotomy through the surgical guide using the drill guides as per the specific implant system.This will ensure each participant about the guided surgery environment and will also exhibit the accuracy of the individual implant placements in a simulated environment. Surgery Video demonstration:- After the hands-on we will demonstrate a full length high definition surgical video of a edentulous maxilla case where 6 implants are placed using the Smart guide along with emphasis on the pre-operative planning on the implant smart software for the particular case. Exhibits:- Support faculty on table tops will exhibit various prosthetic components like milled titanium bars, customized abutments for various implant systems, hybrid abutments, stereo-lithiography guides, drill guides, demo models with hybrid dentures.
